Monday Match: When the Flowers are the Main Attraction Edition

* I find it equal parts compelling and odd that enormous bouquets of autumn flowers take center stage in both of the above images.

  1. I think artists sometimes lose themselves in a painting and become so enamored of the process of, say painting a flower, the object begins to dominate the work. At least that can be the case for me. I do think the works become compelling because there seems to be a bit of abandon in them.
